Wigwam Holidays Opens brand New Great Tregath Glamping Site

It is the stuff of legend: King Arthur, Camelot, the Knights of the Round Table and their connections to Cornwall are world famous.

And with the opening of the brand new Wigwam® Holidays Great Tregath, near Camelford (thought to be one of the possible the locations of Camelot), these mysterious tales can be explored from a warm, comfy glamping cabin.

Coupled with this are stunning locations of the South West CoastPath and world-renowned surfing opportunities of North Cornwall, where guests can enjoy a wild ride on some high rollers.

This new site includes six Running Water Deluxe Wigwam® Cabins and is set to welcome its first glamping guests from Friday 25th May 2018.

Site owners Julie and Craig Blackburn are looking forward to opening ready for the summer season, and being just a few miles from the coast means their new Wigwam® Site is perfect for families, couples, water-sport fans and legend seekers.

After months of site preparation, Julie said: “We were very impressed by the Wigwam® Brand, as it is one of the leading glamping accommodation providers in the UK.

“The quality of the cabins and the help from the Wigwam® Holidays team means we have been supported from the start and now we’re now putting together the finishing touches before our opening date.”

Wigwam® Holidays Great Tregath will open all year round and pooches are permitted in four of the six cabins for a small tariff. The site also has great facilities, such as washing down and drying of wetsuits, surfboards and even the ability to spruce up the pooch!

Each cabin has its own authentic firebowl and ‘witches cauldron’ cooking tripod, with logs and kindling available from the site owners. While guests can bring their own items such as duvets and toiletries, visitors can enhance their stay by ordering fresh towels, bed linen, food hampers and more.

With lots to do in the area, and being close to the ancient town of Camelford, the Wigwam® Holidays Great Tregath is close to Bodmin Moor, another location steeped in mystery.  Another natural phenomenon, Rough Tor, the county’s extinct volcano, is close by.

And for those fascinated by King Arthur and his legendary exploits, the Arthurian Centre at Slaughterbridge and Tintagel Castle are just a short drive away.
