We Are Vertigo continuously expanding their leisure attraction following £1m investment

The first indoor ninja warrior course on the island of Ireland has opened in Belfast, creating 10 jobs.

The Ninja Master Course is the latest leisure innovation from We Are Vertigo and is part of an overall £1 million investment.

The 110ft long assault course, inspired by the hit TV show, Ninja Warrior is based at We Are Vertigo's Titanic Quarter facility, which also features an indoor skydiving centre.

Belfast-based parkour instructor, Paul Allen, who was a finalist in the first series of Ninja Warrior UK was one of the first people to try out the athletically-challenging course at the facility at its grand opening on Thursday evening, alongside Q Radio presenter, Ibe Sesay, who also featured on the show.

The investment at the Titanic site follows the Belfast company's extensive redevelopment of its Newtownbreda adventure centre, where a state-of-the-art, 30,000 sq ft Inflata Park opened last week.

We are Vertigo managing Gareth Murphy admitted it has been a busy start to 2019. "We are thrilled to unveil the Ninja Master Course to our customers, just a week after we opened our new Inflata Park," he said

“As a leisure company, encouraging people of all ages to get active is at the heart of our business strategy. In this day and age, we're all guilty of spending too much time staring at screens; from work computers to our smartphones, and these habits are being passed on to younger generations.

"We have developed an extensive leisure offering, with the aim of encouraging people to partake in fun, physical activity, that will appeal to all ages, so the entire family can get involved and get active together.”
