Luxury Lodges announce they are launching a new resort
Laugharne, on the south coast of Carmarthenshire in Wales, are pleased to announce that they are launching a new resort. The resort is looking to open in the summer of 2019 as the most current offering from Luxury Lodges, who offer self-catering holidays around the UK.
Luxury Lodges have spent over £30 million on their latest development in Laugharne, confirming their venture in UK travel for 2019 and established the area as a key tourist destination.
The resort will enlarge from 77 year-round usable lodges to 145, each will accommodate four to six guests and will be designed to reflect the beautiful views, whilst creating up to 110 new jobs. The lodges will enjoy the peaceful sights of the Taf estuary which guests can oversee from the balcony or the warm private hot tubs.
Ross Grieve, the Managing Director of Luxury Lodges told Business News Wales, “Laugharne is a really important and loved part of the portfolio which is why we are investing so heavily in updating its facilities. We are excited to grow the team and work more closely with the local community as this project develops and we look forward to unveiling the Clubhouse in Spring 2019.”
The development will have the most effective, sustainable and ecologically sensitive approaches when it comes to building and technology. Luxury Lodges are working together with local planning authorities to ensure the maintenance of the historic surrounding environment and predicts a positive impact on local businesses.
The new club, looking to enhance natural surroundings, will include a restaurant, lounge, bar and a fully inclusive spa which will have views of the Taf estuary and Gower Peninsula.
£8 million will be spent on the spa alone and this will include a gym, outdoor hydrotherapy pool, infinity pool, a salt sauna and tepidarium beds – this will all be located over the famous Dylan Thomas boathouse where he lived with his family between 1949 and 1953.
Its rich history and an even richer scenery has made it the ideal location for luxury self-catering accommodation, and a perfect base for exploring the beautiful views of the countryside and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
