CENTER PARCS OPENS £3M SHERWOOD FOREST SPA

Featuring a treetop sauna as its centrepiece, Center Parcs’ new Forest Spa offers a luxury spa experience to visitors looking to immerse themselves in the surrounding wildlife.

The new revamped Aqua Sana spa situated at Sherwood Forest opened at the end of last month, offering guests a fully immersive experience dedicated to bring them closer to nature.

"The investment means we're really able to transform the look and feel of the Aqua Sana, and create some fantastic new experiences in the spa,” said CEO Martin Dalby.

"Our spas have been really successful as part of the overall Center Parcs offer and they're currently enjoyed by the visitors who are there on holiday and people in the local area who come for the day.”

"The revamp is about creating an even higher offering as we look at ways in which we can expand and grow.”

The luxury spa is part of a larger £15m investment at the Nottinghamshire resort over the past year. The remaining investment was used to upgrade the existing accommodation and refurbish the holiday village’s supermarket.

"The whole reason why Center Parcs is successful in the UK is because we constantly reinvest our profits into the business to maintain the quality of the product.”

The revamped spa includes 26 spa experiences that visitors can enjoy as part of a short break or spa day with Center Parcs.

The spa focus point - the treetop sauna - will stand at 10 meters high overlooking the forest canopy thanks to its panoramic design. In total there will be six areas to explore; the Nordic Forest, Hot Springs and Volcanic Forest will be part of the Forest Floor, and the Forest Canopy will encompass the Treetop Escape, Treetop Nesting and Forest Meditation Immersion.

CEO Martin Dalby said: "The treetop sauna will have a massive 'wow' factor when guests see it for the first time.”

"It's very unique and modern from a design perspective compared to what you might find in perhaps a hotel spa, and the forest of course makes a big difference."
