About Charles Smith

Born in Inverness, Charles studied Agricultural Engineering at Silsoe before taking up employment with Massey Ferguson where he held numerous export sales and marketing positions over the years. His last position with Massey Ferguson’s parent company AGCO, was as Managing Director for the Challenger business for Europe, Africa and the Middle-East.

Since 2011, Charles has been Chief Executive Officer of the Farming Community Network (FCN) – a charity and voluntary organisation that provides practical and pastoral support to the farming community through difficult times.

Charles and his wife Judith now live on and run a small mixed farm in Leicestershire.

FarmWell is a brand new farming specific resources “hub” providing truly holistic support and mentoring to all in the farming community. Through this seminar, we will demonstrate how users can access information, professional support and guidance from a wide range of sources, which will aim to help with personal resilience and contribute to the creation of viable and sustainable farming businesses.
