Balanceability is the UK`s first and only formally approved `learn to cycle` programme for children aged 2½ upwards. We offer high-quality balance bikes, staff training, programme materials and all the equipment you need to get children cycling in your Leisure Centres, Holiday Parks and Communities.
Nearly half of the UK`s 6-year-olds are unable to ride a bike, which means that they miss out on the countless benefits of being able to cycle.
We want to embed cycling into the lives and psyches of all children. The unique Balanceability programme has been specially designed with child development experts and cycling professionals so that all children have the opportunity to learn to ride a bike.
Balanceability combines unique ergonomic balance bikes with a schedule of fun activities that build confidence, spatial-awareness and dynamic balance skills, enabling young children to cycle without ever needing stabilisers.
The programme is a structured course available to Leisure Centres, Holiday Parks, Schools and communities. It is currently active in over 2000 sites across the UK with 94% of children aged 4 to 6-years-old being able to safely ride a pedal bike at the end of the programme.
