Black Storm Brewery

Award-winning independent brewery based in the North East who produce innovative British craft beers in bottles, cans, cask and keg.

The Black Storm story started in 2017 when Managing Director Paul Hughes decided on creating a brewery focused on quality and consistency of excellent beer.

The Whitley Bay based company has grown substantially in the two following years. The opening of Black Storm's first bar Storm Cellar in 2018 and is a relaxed engaging bar.

Black Storm also have a large presence in Newcastle city centre, Drop Everything And Drink bar was opened in March on High Bridge, in the heart of the city. This charming bar nestled in a busy location offers punters an easy-going atmosphere to enjoy a beer or two.

Alongside the bars, Black Storm own two bottles shops in the North. Firstly, Beer Box, part of the STACK container village opened in summer 2018, this friendly craft beer store stocks beers from all the world. In June 2019, a second Beer Box opened its doors in Manchester as part of the HATCH containers in the city centre.

Black Storm are immensely proud of beers they produce, the core range, including the award-winning porter are a consent in the Black Storm catalogue and are stocked in 56 The Co-Op supermarkets.

Additionally, Black Storm produce experimental, limited edition seasonal beers. In 2019, the 12 Beers in 12 Months project of releasing a new collaboration beer every month with 12 different breweries and illustrators, has enjoyed widespread success.

Throughout the year, the love of attending festivals across the UK has been part of Black Storms remit. The joy of showcasing their products to customers nationally has enabled them to build relationships in craft beer market.
