The Family Holiday Aasociation are the leading national charity dedicated to providing short breaks and day trips to families struggling with some of the toughest challenges life can bring.
These are families who are often coping with problems such as disability, severe and sudden illness, bereavement, mental health issues and domestic violence.
The charity was founded on the belief that holidays are a lifeline, not a luxury, and this is a key principle that survives to this day. The majority of families we help have never before been on a family holiday. The evidence shows that spending time together away from their daily struggles can be life-changing, creating precious memories, strengthening bonds and developing a new sense of optimism.
We receive no government funding and are reliant on the generosity of our supporters. But helping struggling families access a vital break is not just about money. If you work in the domestic travel & tourism sector you could be uniquely positioned to help in other ways.
We are always looking for new providers to donate accommodation, transport or attraction tickets that we can use to help families access a vital break.
