Chilled Packaging Solutions Origins

Incorporated in 1990 in Aberdeen, Scotland, Sorbafreeze was set-up to primarily service the fishing industry in Aberdeen. The company’s growth has been fuelled by word of mouth, as their reputation for customer service and ice pack performance has grown within the industry.

In 2015, Sorbafreeze was purchased by the Pitreavie Group, a Scottish based supplier of specialist packaging. In 2017, the business relocated to the Pitreavie Group`s headquarters in Glenrothes, investing over £750,000 in a new 20,000sq ft purpose-built production facility, fully fitted out with custom manufacturing equipment.

SorbaFreeze’s extensive insulated packaging range offers various box sizes, insulated liner options, and ice pack formats which can be combined to offer multiple solutions for the transportation of temperature sensitive goods. The options available allow you to select the perfect solution to meet your temperature control packaging requirements – simply choose the internal box size you need, the insulation type, then the ice pack (pre-hydrated or unhydrated) in sheet, block or roll format to maintain temperature within the unit.

The range also extends to a variety of insulated envelopes and pockets and carry home bags, all offering temperature maintenance for travel up to 48 hours.
