THE FINER DETAIL

Often, we judge a towel by it’s feel alone however, we recommend taking a closer look to inspect the GSM (Grams per Square Meter (g/m2)). A better-quality towel will have a higher GSM and feel heavier. This additional weight generally indicates durability and absorption. Lower quality, thinner towels have around 300-400GSM whilst luxury, heavier towels offer between 450-600GSM. Generally, the higher GSM, the better quality.

100% COTTON IS A MUST

Cotton is an organic material with absorbent natural fibres. It’s renowned for it’s ability to attract water with research suggesting it can absorb up to 27* times it’s weight. We strongly recommend selecting a 100% Cotton towel that can offer a practical solution such as moisture absorbency but is also soft and cosy.

THE CRAFTMANSHIP

On a technical level, if the loops of the towel are dense on construction, then you will likely have a good towel. Often looser, less tightly packed towel threads indicate poorer craftsmanship. Towels with thick stitching indicate quality craftsmanship and you can see this all the way around the towel to stop the edges fraying.
