Water Play: Making a Splash With Visitors

About Beth Cooper

An expert in play Beth Cooper began work with Timberplay as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Sheffield Hallam University. This led to the creation of Simply Play, a freely accessible tool designed to support the development of better play spaces. She continued work with Timberplay beyond completion of this project as a Creative Play Associate and now travels the country delivering informative and enthusiastic seminars to Landscape Architects and Industry Groups.
Beth has worked in both the public and private sector on both sides of the play space commissioning process and has continued her connection with Sheffield Hallam University as a guest lecturer on the Childhood studies and Education degrees.

Water Play is an effective way to excite and engage visitors. It can have a huge Impact on visitor experience, dwell time and secondary spend.
The session will look at different ways of delivering water play, the possibilities of creating water play areas with a range of budgets, the design and maintenance of water play systems and we will also show you some recent successful examples of water play projects.
