About Jason Henderson
As well as being the owner of Knock Castle Hotel and seeing to the day to day running of the hotel, Jason''s impressive career as a chef spans over two decades of experience in 2 and 3 Rosette establishments and has worked for prestigious hotel group, Relais and Chateaux.
His work has been in demand by many establishments and his talent has seen him cooking in the French Alps as well as a stint in Valencia. Such is his culinary skill; he was also asked to join the Formula 1 catering team in Abu Dhabi for the 2015 Grand Prix.
This year, Jason was recognised by the Scottish Food Awards, winning Chef of the Year in the Flavours of Scotland category and the hotel continues to pick up regular awards in all areas of the business.
Jason plans to share his experiences of being a chef and then becoming the hotel owner, much of his talk will be based around the amount of big, corporate hotels in Scotland he has to compete with, hence the title.
